After much prayer and thought, I have decided to leave dA. To many of you this is sudden, but there are several reasons and so many things have been going on in my life outside of this site.

Keeping up with this site just in terms of deviations, journals, and everything else has simply become a chore for me. It’s nothing for me to see 500 things in my message center a day including deviations. It’s not that I don’t enjoy looking at the deviations, but it’s too time consuming for where I am at in my life and where I’m headed.

With that being said that does not mean that I’m going to stop posting shots on line, because my love of photography is stronger now than ever and I enjoy sharing my pictures online. I’m going to start a new site on Blogger. It will be a lot less maintenance for me and less time consuming. It’s mainly going to be for people that I know off line so they can keep up with me. If you would like the link to my site, please send me a note and I’ll be glad to send you the link.

I’m also freeing up my time, because I’m about to start chasing a pretty huge dream and I realize that keeping this site going will be close to impossible with as much maintenance that’s required.

There is also another reason why I’m leaving. I’m not calling a particular person out with what I’m about to say, but I’ve received some pretty judgmental and harsh messages on dA and a dear friend of mine has as well. These messages are not about the photography or the art, which is what this site was intended to be for. These messages were attacks on beliefs and personal lives. All I am saying is keep it about the art. That’s why I joined this site in the first place and why so many people on this site joined.

I have made many friends on here and wish you all the best. Please send me a note if you want to keep in touch by email or want the link to my blog. I have several of you on Facebook, but for those of you who want to add me as a friend just look me up using the email address listed on the front page of my site on here.

However, I will be on here for another month or so. I’ll be around to answer notes and some messages, but by no means will I be answering everything. I may pop in ever so often to look at your art after this, but that's about it.
